Mr.
Palmer joined Ciraden as Chief Technology Officer in December 2000.
Prior to joining Ciraden, Mr. Palmer served as Senior Vice President,
Information Technology of Cadmus Communications from June 1998 to
December 2000. With Cadmus, the world leader in producing journals
for scientific, technical and medical associations,
Mr.
Palmer was a member of the senior executive council and managed
7 direct reports and a total staff of 43, supporting all development,
infrastructure, web hosting, operations and e-commerce initiatives.
Collectively, Mr. Palmer has over 20 years of experience in developing
leading edge technology across a vast range of business sectors
and industries.
Mr.
Palmer is an energetic and results-oriented technology executive
with extensive leadership and technical expertise, and the proven
ability to conceptualize, launch and deliver complex technology
projects in a variety of businesses including Internet publishing,
web development (B2B, B2C), direct marketing, financial services,
retail, printing, legal, high-tech manufacturing, hotel, golf, real
estate, television, mining, cogeneration and oil and gas. In addition,
Mr. Palmer has extensive experience in electronic media, Internet
publishing, B2B e-commerce, data warehousing and mining, acquisition/integration,
hardware and networking infrastructure, business process and workflow,
and customer relationship management.
Before
joining Cadmus, Mr. Palmer served as Vice President and Chief Technology
Officer for Guy Gannett Communications from February 1997 to June
1998 where he directed multiple new technology initiatives to support
business interests and operations in television, newspaper, database
marketing, and new media companies.
Before
Guy Gannett Communications, Mr. Palmer was selected from a nationwide
search involving over 700 candidates to fill the position of Director,
Corporate Information Technology for The United Company where he
served from March 1990 to February 1997. Mr. Palmer's responsibilities
focused on establishing and directing a technology vision for all
of United Companys $500 million business enterprises. Mr.
Palmer also has also served in various executive capacities for
Westinghouse, Standard Aero, Unisys, and Jostens.
Mr.
Palmer holds a BS from Brigham Young University.
